About the course

The course covers the provisions for sodium batteries when shipped by road (ADR) and sea (The IMDG Code).

Including the classification of sodium batteries and packing methods for UN 2795 (wet batteries), UN 3292 (sodium metal batteries), UN 3551 and UN 3552 (sodium ion batteries).

The course also covers the provisions for shipping sodium ion batteries contained in equipment or packed with equipment (UN 3552) using the Section II rules of packing instructions 977 and 978 for air transportation.

This is a stand-alone course for the shipping of exempt batteries (such as UN 3551 or UN 3552 exempted by special provision 400, or UN 3552 shipped using the Section II rules for air) or can be taken in addition to full awareness training in either ADR or the IMDG Code for fully regulated batteries.

Please contact us if you require any help in this respect.

The course is video-based and completely online, so can be taken at any time to suit yourself.
